I thought this was going to be a small update…
Changelog:
- The Items system has been reworked. Future Tech is now always useful and the consequences for failure is only that something funny and slightly annoying happens.
- Armor is gone.
- Encumbrance is gone.
- Triggered rolls are gone.
- The threshold for triggering Anomalies is higher.
- Rewrite Reality is more powerful and more flavorful. The math now skews more towards “yes but…” instead of failure.
- Opposition dice replace Difficulty dice in most negative Mutations. Again, skews the math towards ”yes but” instead of outright failure.
The game has been out for nearly 2 years now. I have ran this game a lot, and a lot of folks have played, and a few have ran it. The above changes reflect how the game is actually played, instead of safeguards I thought the game needed.
There are now less guardrails, so have fun going off the rails. -g
